What was once an abandoned and squatted building has now grown into a vibrant place where people work, create, and collaborate daily. From vacant building to creative hub
The City Guard originated from a unique situation. Initiator Michiel Corver He was asked if anything was still possible regarding the management of the property. The circumstances were far from ideal. The building was in poor condition, but at the same time, he saw the potential of the place. The space offered opportunities for makers and creativity that could not be allowed to be lost. With that in mind, De Stadswacht has been developed into a place where there is room for experimentation and growth.
A place that extends beyond the building
The impact of De Stadswacht extends beyond just the people who have a studio there. The venue contributes to the livability of the neighborhood and also attracts visitors and organizations from outside.
