Competition terms and conditions The Hague Scribbles 2025

Would you like to participate in the Haagse Krabbel drawing competition and stand a chance to win a great prize? Then make sure your drawing meets these conditions. All drawings will be collected, and a large selection will be compiled into a collage. Draw digitally via our website or create a drawing on paper and send it to us. Shape, style and material
Drawings can be submitted in two ways: digitally or on paper. The municipality of The Hague digitizes the submissions on paper. For the best result, use only dark colors for a scribble on paper, preferably black or dark green. For example, use a pencil, marker or fineliner. Make sure that the drawing on paper is made on a plain white background, so that it can be easily processed in the final collage.

Flat drawings only
When you submit a drawing on paper, make sure it is completely flat. Drawings with glued-on materials, craft elements or three-dimensional parts will not be accepted.

Surprise the jury
Depict the theme of peace and justice in a creative way. And even better, use a clear Hague angle. Think of subjects such as cooperation, friendliness, freedom or people who help each other. The drawing may be humorous, surprising or artistic. The jury will judge on originality and creativity.

Winners
The winners of the prizes will receive a message no later than 25 July 2025. For this it is important that the contact details of the winners are correct. There is no minimum or maximum age. However, two age categories are taken into account when choosing the winners (children up to 12 years and from 13 years).

Disclaimer: There is no maximum number of drawings you may submit. The competition is intended for residents of The Hague. Do you live outside The Hague? Then you can participate, but you will not be eligible for a prize. By participating, you give the municipality of The Hague permission to use your drawing – anonymously if desired – and to show it on various channels and locations in the city. In the various expressions (for example in the final collage), no names of the artists will be published. 'The municipality of The Hague reserves the right to interrupt, change or cancel the competition, the regulations and/or the course thereof if it has reasons to do so.'
