REBORN Whitehouse

REBORN Whitehouse, a place in the Scheveningen district that brings life all year round

In the Scheveningen district, REBORN Whitehouse is being given a new purpose. In a unique location, directly on the beach, a characteristic building is being transformed into an event venue where meeting, connection, and experience take center stage. In doing so, the initiative contributes to the ambition to further develop Scheveningen as a four-season seaside resort.

REBORN Whitehouse shows how a special place can regain meaning for the city. For Martin Wörsdörfer, that is precisely why this initiative is so important. He sees how Whitehouse adds something to everything Scheveningen already has to offer and gives a boost to the future of the seaside resort.

A new purpose for a recognizable place

Initiators Saman Mohammadi and Ralf Meppelder saw the potential of a building in a unique location, precisely at the transition between the Zwarte Pad and the Middenboulevard. A landmark in Scheveningen that is being brought back to life.

Instead of opening another restaurant, they deliberately chose a different purpose. Whitehouse will become an event venue that can be used in both summer and winter. In doing so, it complements the boulevard and creates more activity for residents and visitors, even outside the tourist season.

Proud of REBORN Whitehouse

A place that connects

At REBORN Whitehouse, it is not just about the building itself, but also about what happens around it. During the quieter months, REBORN aims to organize an active program that the neighborhood can make use of. This creates a place where residents, entrepreneurs, and visitors can meet.

By not competing with existing entrepreneurs, but rather adding something to Scheveningen, REBORN aims to contribute to a vibrant coast that remains attractive all year round.

Built in a unique location

What makes Whitehouse special is its location. Right on the beach, with a view of the North Sea and a direct connection to the boulevard and The Pier, it forms a place inextricably linked to Scheveningen.

The combination of the location, the new purpose, and the focus on connection makes REBORN Whitehouse an initiative that looks beyond just the building.

Proud of what is being built

Within Nieuw70, REBORN Whitehouse is an example of how an existing place can become meaningful to the city again. The initiative shows how entrepreneurship, collaboration, and a clear vision can contribute to a vibrant Scheveningen in all seasons. Martin, Saman , and Ralf are visibly proud of it.
