You will find Thrive Coffee House in the Scheveningen district. A specialty coffee bar in the Geuzen- and Statenkwartier where it is not just about good coffee, but above all about connection. In addition to serving coffee from local roasteries, it is a place where people come together for art, culture, workshops, and meetings.
Thrive Coffee House is an initiative that shows how entrepreneurship can contribute to the city. For Ayla de Heer That is exactly why this initiative fits within Nieuw70. She sees how a personal idea has grown into a place that has meaning for the neighborhood and the people who gather there.

For the initiator Rob de Heer Thrive started as a dream. Five years ago, the idea arose to bring people into closer contact with one another. 'It struck me that a lot of people were mainly busy with their phones and were sometimes lonely. I was looking for ways to bring people together more.' That thought formed the basis for Thrive Coffee House. What started as an idea has grown into a place where meeting people takes center stage.
Thrive plays a clear role in the neighborhood. In an area where there were few coffee shops, it has grown into a place where different target groups come together.
In addition, Thrive provides space for art and culture. Local artists and makers are given a platform here to showcase their work. In doing so, the initiative contributes to a more vibrant city, where there is room for creativity and new ideas.
What makes Thrive special is the combination of hospitality and initiatives. Workshops, training sessions, and cultural activities are organized, as well as communal moments such as dinners. 'Cooking is done with volunteers, and people come together to eat. That is where new friendships and relationships are formed.' Collaborations with local roasteries and producers reinforce that local character. Everything revolves around quality, attention, and creating a place where people feel at home.
