Bisou Social Club

Bisou Social Club, a place in the Haagse Hout district where people find each other again

You will find Bisou Social Club in the Haagse Hout district. A place in the Bezuidenhout neighborhood where there is room for meeting, rest, and inspiration. Here, it is not just about gathering, but about genuine connection. From workshops and meditation to creative sessions and sporting activities, Bisou is the place to meet others and recharge.

Bisou shows how an initiative can contribute to connection in a city where many newcomers are looking for their place. For Jorden Opmeer , that is precisely why this place is so special. He sees how people connect with each other here in an accessible way, both internationals and locals.

You can meet new people here in a fun way.

Proud of Bisou Social Club

Arising from a need for connection

Bisou was founded by Annick Kusse and Denise Kusse , two entrepreneurs with a shared mission to bring people together.

They noticed that more and more people were coming to The Hague, but that genuine connection was often lacking. Much contact takes place online, while the need for physical togetherness is actually growing. With Bisou, they wanted to create a place where people can meet and connect with each other offline again.

At Bisou, everything revolves around meeting.

The activities are focused on four themes: mindfulness, outdoors, social, and creative.

Bringing people with shared interests together creates connections more quickly. Visitors get to know each other during events and build relationships that continue outside of Bisou. It is a place where you can work for a while with a cup of coffee, but just as easily participate in a workshop, a reading evening, or a language café.

More than a social club

What makes Bisou special is the combination of functions. It is a meeting place, but at the same time also a place where you come to relax, grow, and develop yourself. The warm and accessible atmosphere ensures that people quickly feel at ease. This creates space for genuine conversations and new encounters.

Proud of what has been created

In a short time, Bisou Social Club has grown into a place where people come together and new connections are formed. The initiative shows how important it is to make room for encounters in a city that is constantly changing.

Within Nieuw70, Bisou is an example of how an initiative can contribute to connection, energy, and a sense of community in the neighborhood. Jorden, Annick, and Denise are visibly proud of it.
